New Delhi, September 25, 2025 — Surface Moto, an IIT-Delhi backed consumer micro-mobility startup, has reached a landmark moment with the first deliveries of its debut e-bike, the Surface C1.

Early customers rated the Surface C1 at 4.2/5, praising design, comfort, and handling as standout strengths. Most notably, 75% of riders highlighted braking performance as a game-changer.
“The Surface C1 is widely praised for its performance, handling, and ride comfort — and we are now making it even better,” said Syed Shahabaz, Founder & CEO of Surface Moto.
With a patented double-sided chassis and Adaptive Foam saddle, the C1 isn’t just another e-bike — it’s a reimagined urban riding experience.
Each unit passed through a 28-step QA/QC process before reaching customers,
underscoring Surface Moto’s focus on reliability. Now, the company is preparing a refined batch for media and reviewer testing before reopening pre-orders.
And demand is already building: 350+ customers are on the waitlist.
Surface Moto’s journey is only getting started.
Globally, the e-bike market is booming — $60 billion in 2024, projected to hit $100 billion by 2030 (CAGR: 11%).
In India, the market crossed ₹200 crore in revenue last fiscal and is expected to multiply rapidly this year. Surface Moto is stepping into this opportunity at the right time — with the right product.
Surface Moto isn’t just delivering e-bikes. It’s delivering on a vision: a third layer of mobility for post-car cities — trips too long to walk, too short for cars. With its focus on engineering precision, rider comfort, and intelligent design, the Surface C1 sets the tone for what the future of commuting in India could look like.
The first batch is only the beginning. The road ahead promises something bigger.
